Do You Worry About Becoming A Bag Lady? Join the Crowd.

Bag lady - source jlwdc dot blogspotA third of the highest income earning women ($200,000+) worry about becoming a bag lady.

Katie Couric worries about it.

Gloria Steinem worries about it.

So does Lily Tomlin.

Do you?

You are not alone. The worry of losing all that you have and ending up on the street may not be very well-founded, but it still may be real to you. If so, turn to Richard Eisenberg’s excellent article in Next Avenue, “What Women Must Do to Ditch Bag Lady Syndrome.” And consider living with a roommate, which will not only save tremendously on expenses but could provide you with a worry buddy – someone with whom you can acknowledge your fears and laugh about them at the same time. You’ll probably sleep better after you do.
