Mother’s Day Is About More Than Mothers
So it’s the day after Mother’s Day, and most of us have extended good wishes and love to our mothers and mothers in law, or have been the recipients of love and gratitude from our own children. But there’s more to Mother’s Day than that. It’s really about all women, and about those who nurture family and friends. Pamela said it so well in her blog Patina & Hue: “Mother’s Day is also a reminder that behind each of us is a lineage of strong women, whether a mother, an aunt, a big sister or a family friend, typically older and wiser who seems to know when we need her most.”
All part of the connection that is so special, and so strong, among good women.
So very well stated and true. When our mothers need us during their most vulnerable years let’s be sure to protect them from exploitation by others. They are most vulnerable to designing professionals, friends and family members when they feel lonely. Take care of your mom as if she were your child. Remember, she once did that for you.
Very nicely said, Paul!
