The All-Purpose – And Chic – Travel Wardrobe

One of the top 3 retirement worries is making your savings last longer and work smarter. No surprise there.

Luckily, you can laugh at that worry – or at least worry about it less, when you find the perfect roommate and begin sharing your home and your expenses with her.  You’ve just freed up half of your mortgage or rent plus utilities for other things. With that extra cash in your bank account every month, you just might be able to stop worrying so much about money, and start planning one of those “someday” trips of your dreams.

With that in mind, we found Une Femme D’un Certain Age, a fashion blog just for women over 50, and a really useful article on “The 15 Piece Travel Wardrobe.” Eileen Fisher figures heavily in the assortment of tops, pants, and jackets, but several pieces are from other designers and outlets too. Lots of black, white, and navy, plus a variety of scarves to dress up and down and add color. All together, this is a really versatile little wardrobe that’s flattering and fun and not at all stodgy.  Check it out here.
